Livery Yard Rules

EQUINE WELFARE

  1. All Equines must have up to date Vaccinations of flu, tetanus and full equine passport.

  2. All animals need 3rd party insurance and provide a photo of equine.

  3. All horses must follow our worming programme.

  4. 5 barrows of poo must be picked per week, per animal (Friday to Thursday) from field. Mark on Livery Facebook page number done by Thursday evening.

  5. All Animals must be checked twice a day all year. Be it DIY livery or grass livery.

  6. No Equine to be kept in stable for 24 hours unless with a veterinary letter, or extreme weather.

  7. All Veterinary, Farriers and anyone coming to treat an animal must be fully qualified.

  8. No feed or snacks to be given to animals in field, you must take them out into track or outside field.

  9. Bedding is to be shaving and/or rubber matting (no shavings to be stored on site as we sell them)

  10. Do not hit other horses heads when getting your horse out of field, it’s your handling skills required.

  11. If a horse is injured and needs veterinary treatment and you cannot be contacted, we will get a veterinary surgeon at your expense.

  12. All gates, yard gate, container doors, store doors must be kept closed and locked at all times.

  13. Horses/ponies on DIY livery grazing 24/7 is 1st May to 20th Oct.
    Oct 20th to April 30th stabling on an evening is required and out through day.

  14. If an outbreak of a contagious disease i.e. strangles, foot and mouth etc. in close proximity to Angel Livery Yard, then there will be strictly no movement or quarantine of equines enforced and necessary sterilisation of vehicle tyres, foot dips, and safety precautions taken for owners.

HUMAN WELFARE

  1. When on an equines back when on Bassetts Lookout Land, stable etc. protective hat must be worn at all times

  2. If using toilets, please keep doors latched and closed

  3. Wash hands after handling horses and tack etc.

RESPONSIBILITY

  1. 5 barrows of poo must be collected per horse/pony per week (Fri to Thurs) and put on Facebook Livery page on the days they have been collected.

  2. Each horse owner/user is responsible for sweeping stable yard, barn feed stores, tool stores, around hay shed, etc. daily.

  3. Hay/Haylage to be carried in hay nets, bag etc. from hay shed. Haylage to be swept up every-time.

  4. If soaking hay, it MUST be done by WILDLIFE GARDEN, not by tap! Use hose and please get rid of waste.

  5. Any one not a horse owner coming to visit for whatever reason has to be put on Livery Facebook page before they arrive, if from another yard please also mention which yard.

  6. No drugs (except prescription) & no alcohol, anywhere on site. No fireworks.

  7. Age 16 or under must have a responsible adult with them on site.

  8. Feed, tack rooms, outside yard and barn to be swept by each person and kept pristine.

  9. No solids to go down yard drain and no chemicals as this goes to land drain and the wildlife area.

  10. No tools, barrows, brushes, chairs to be left in stable yard outside stables.

  11. Check fencing every-time you put your horse out and report any defects to Angel staff.

FINANCE

  1. DIY livery per week is £… Part or full prices on application. Grass livery is £… p/w.

  2. A bond of 4 weeks rent in advance is required, which covers your 4 week notice that is required.

  3. Livery is paid by SO, 1 month in advance, payment of £… required on 29th of every month.

  4. Debts of 6 weeks rent owed will result in your bond being taken, and your horse moved of and sold.
